I was hired by Gordon Turner to create artwork and icons for his iPhone app TypeLess, an app which allows you to create templates for commonly-sent email and text messages. Gordon had read my comic Orneryboy and had seen some logos and branding I’d created for fictitious entities within the comic, which prompted him to get in touch with me. I presented Gordon with a number of rough branding ideas, and after incorporating his feedback and refining my designs, came up with a passenger pigeon mascot. I incorporated this mascot into the app’s icon and splash screen, and created supplementary graphics for him to use on the app’s website.
