This was one of the first games I ever created while working as YTV.com’s first in-house game designer, and definitely the most popular and enduring of them all. I was given free rein to create a game for Hallowe’en, so I proposed a point and click graphic adventure, an homage to the games I played in my youth. The result of my efforts was Dark and Stormy Night, the first instalment of what came to be known as the Jinx Series. Based on the success of the first game, I was tasked with creating a sequel in time for Christmas, and so I created the second Jinx episode, Miracle in the 34th Dimension.
The characters I created in these two Jinx games would go on to be used in numerous YTV.com properties, even long after I left the company. For a time, Dr. Frantic even became the de facto mascot of the YTV website. Some years later, I was contracted by YTV.com to make an Episode 2 1/2 minigame called Portal Peril, as well as an animated short called U.F.Oh No!
