Years ago, while working full-time at YTV, I was asked by a colleague to design the logo for the employee hockey team, the Speed Cannibals. I was given the colour scheme for the jerseys, which was black with red stripes. Due to printing constraints, I had to work with a limit of 5 solid colours. Inspired by YTV’s aesthetic at the time, which centred around various weird monsters, I designed a goalie monster eating a puck. After going through a few revisions, the design was finalized and printed for the jerseys. As a thank you, I was given a jersey of my own, with my very own number.
